Ontario PNP Basic Requirements

The OINP requirements are diverse based on the selected immigration category. However, there are a few fundamental requirements such as

To apply for Ontario Provincial Nominee Program, you can opt for any of the two ways.

Pathway 1

  • Step 1: Confirm the eligibility criteria for the diverse OINP immigration streams
  • Step 2: Choose the most appropriate immigration category
  • Step 3: Send the Expression of Interest – EOI to the OINP
  • Step 4: You can submit an application for the program directly

  • If you have submitted the EOI, then:

  • Step 1: Your application is entered into the pool
  • Step 2: Your profile will be assessed by OINP
  • Step 3: The candidates with the highest rankings are sent an e-mail with ITA
  • Step 4: For sharing the completed application online you have 90 days
  • Step 5: Provide the necessary documents
  • Step 6: You have to then appear for a personal interview with Ontario PNP
  • Step 7: You have to provide a signature on the Performance Agreement after this
  • Step 8: A Letter of Confirmation will then be offered by Ontario
  • Step 9: You will receive a Provisional Work Permit after submitting this letter to IRCC
  • Step 10: You can file an application for a provincial nomination if you fulfill the specified terms
  • Step 11: Wait to receive approval for the provincial nomination application
  • Step 12: You will get the OINP Nomination Certificate if your application is approved
  • Step 13: You can apply for Canada PR Visa now

  • Note: It has to be submitted with the IRCC within six months.

  • Step 1: You will get a confirmation through e-mail

    • FSWP - Federal Skilled Worker Program
  • Step 5: Your application is entered into the pool of Express Entry candidates
  • Step 6: The OINP seeks prospective candidates
  • Step 7: You will receive the Notification of Interest if you are eligible
  • Step 8: You have file your application with OINP within forty-five days

    • § A certificate of provincial nomination

All Express Entry candidates are awarded a score based on their profile. This is referred to as the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. A candidate's CRS score must be 400 points or greater to be qualified for the Ontario Human Capital Priorities stream.

The initial step in applying for OINP from India is to establish an Express Entry profile and earn eligibility points in one of Express Entry's three categories, namely the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW). If you match the OINP-Express entry conditions, OINP will provide notification interest to your express entry account.

These levels are CLB 7 in French and CLB 6 in English, respectively. Language test results must originate from one of the certified testing agencies listed below: IELTS (General Training Test alone) for English; or CELPIP (General Test Only) for English.

You must pay the Ontario PNP costs, which are $1,500 or $2,000 depending on the stream you choose, or $3,500 if you choose the business stream. Once you've successfully filed your application, the Ontario office will evaluate it against the Ontario PNP statute in two parts.
