  • Possess a minimum of 1 year of full-time continuous paid work experience or corresponding part-time experience in the last 10 years in a skill level B, A, or 0 occupations
  • Fulfill the language proficiency requirement. Currently, it is CLB - Canadian Language Benchmark 7 in all 4 components of language. This can be in either French or English by offering results of a language test from either of the following:
    • English – IELTS or CELPIP (only General Training Test)
    • French – TEF
Minimum Requirements - Employers

For qualifying under this stream, the below criteria also must be fulfilled:

  • The employer must possess a background of good business and workplace practices
  • The employer has to comply with all the appropriate regulations and laws
  • The employer has to offer a permanent, full-time job offer to the applicant. The job has to:
    • Be under NOC Skill Type B, A, or 0
    • Be situated in Nova Scotia
    • Offer a salary that fulfills the standards for provincial employment and current rates of wage
    • Be a position having scarcity of eligible citizens or permanent residents for filling the position
    • Not flout any current labor standards /agreements, unit agreements, or have any employment row

The employer has to show adequate hiring efforts for filling the job opening with a permanent resident or citizen in Canada
